The one where he stood alone against an army

The one where he stood alone against an army

They were walking together, holding hands. Soon they reached the edge of the cliff. Before them, a massive canyon stood, empty and deserted, silent with only the wind blowing on its long since visited corpse. They stopped and looked at each other, all the while a question was burning inside of her. She could feel something was different here, something heavy yet invisible stood before her. It didn't take long before she couldn't take it anymore and asked: "What happened here?" .

For a moment, it seemed like her words went into another direction as he gave no sign of hearing her. He just stood there, as silent and emotionless as the canyon in front. After a while he gave a shrug and his face turned towards the ground. " You want to know what happened here? " he asked, with a heavy tone in his voice. "Yes please. Tell me the story of this place." she responded after looking up to him, meeting his eyes. Another shrug and his eyes closed for a moment. He wasn't here anymore, at least not with his mind. He used to do this all the time before sharing something that sadden him gravely.

As he opened his eyes again, they were moving rapidly from one end of the nothingness to the other as if he was following something, as if there was something actually there, something invisible to others but not to him. He breathed in deeply and started:

"Long ago, before you stood a humble kingdom, a kingdom governed by man. It was a rainy and murky day. People were rushing to their houses left and right, the workers were sweating and cursing the bad weather and the children were playing carelessly with smiles on their face as their clothes were getting soaked in water. It was a day like any other, and yet that particular day was going to be known for a very long time as one of the most important in history. Do you recall the tale of the first angel?"

She looked surprised. " Arkanis?"

Another deep breath and a tear feel from his eyes and hit the hungry golden ground. He resumed:

"Yes, it was on that rainy day that the grey and heavy clouds opened up . It was here and then that the First Angel arrived, a being of pure white coming slowly from above. All were filled with shock and amaze, some even fear, of what they were witnessing. The angel presented itself as Arkanis, an omen of peace sent from God above to watch over this kingd..."

She interrupted " What? Wasn't he banished from the heavens for his deeds?"

Her words hit him hard as if a spear had teared through him. Another tear hit the floor.

"To watch over this kingdom. This place took the name of The City of Saints and prosperity spread around the land. It never knew war as no kingdom would dare face an angel, people felt safe and peace and prosperity roam all around. The sun that shined brightest here encouraged their culture, their economy and the people knew of no disease and died having lived more than most other people. In his honor they build a massive church, tainted with gold all around and it was here that the First Angel spent most of his time. He would spend his days counselling the king, flying around the city making sure that no monster or treacherous human would step foot here and, whenever it was the case, held judgement for those that had wronged. He governed alone but always with wisdom and understanding."

Again, she couldn't contain it within anymore " But about the Phoenix?".

A second, sharper, spear-like emotion hit him. He felt this emotion as if he'd been stabbed a thousand times. As before, another tear hit the ground, followed by a second one this time.

"Her true name was Aealind and I was going to get there too. Formerly known as The Phoenix, she joined Arkanis in marriage and the Golden rule began. You see, some saw it as treachery for an angel to be tied to a mortal and although under their rule, the kingdom prospered even more than it had before, now that kindness had joined wisdom, some dared to contest the true nature of the angel. It was a few centuries that people actually had the courage to set foot on this sacred land, demanding that it surrender to their will.

Many came and many more fell lifeless to the ground, none ever reaching the inside of the city walls. The Angel protected it mercilessly with gracious swings of his sword, spreading justice left and right. Until... in one of these many attempts, one day, a scream was heard in the church and when the people went to investigate, they found Aealind in a pool of blood on the floor, with her eyes and mouth wide open, and by her side stood the angel. The citizens of The City of Saints were baffled and shocked beyond belief. When trialed and asked of what had happened, the Angel only said that from that they forward he would take a vow of silence and would exile himself in the church for all eternity. And so, he left the court, walking instead of flying, and it was noted back then, that the feather's from his wings started flying one by one. He left a trail of them, starting from the court, up to the graveyard, were he buried her, shattering his sword in two and leaving one upon her grave, and by the time he returned to the church, before he shut the massive doors, it is said that that was when the last feather fell.

The sun would shine upon the kingdom still, never quite as bright as before and although it was still the home of prosperity, things would never be the same."

She grabbed his hand and held it tighter than before. "Why is there nothing left of this great kingdom now?"

"Soon after hearing of the loss of his wings and his swords, many charged upon the gates. Their citizens were strong and manage to defend the city valiantly time and time again yet whenever times seemed grim and they went to the church to ask for assistance or advice, nothing ever came from within the high walls. Kind of ironic to be honest, when you think about it."

She tightened her grip on his hand as she felt it slowly starting to shake and timidly asked " How so?".

" It's ironic that the thing that made that city be great once, was now the very reason for which people were suffering."

The young girl had never seen him that way before. His fist was closed and could easily be observed that now his whole body was slightly shaking. After he caught his grip, he continued:

"Alas, the inevitable happened. Humanity has always did its best to prove their beliefs, it was just a matter of time before those that believed that they could conquer the city, actually managed to actually do it. And so the city walls that once stood high, impassable and unbreakable, now lay crumbling at the feet of the invading army. Among them, a cruel man stood, Tyros, and wherever he had passed before, only ruin and ruble lay in its wake.

After breaking the walls, Tyros and his men marched within the once prosperous city, slaying and burning left and right. They had only one target, and that target was the Angel. The people fled to the church in the hope of salvation. They slammed its gates with their fists, begging and shouting for salvation, yet it never came. No word or appearance came from within the church and many even started to doubt the angel was even there anymore.

Soon there was no one left but the people at the church's gates, and that's exactly where Tyros stood with his immense army. He laughed violently and challenged the "false-angel" to come meet its maker yet he was met with the same treatment as the poor citizens, a cold wall of nothing but silence. He stood there for a while, but patience was never his strong point. He picked up a civilian from the ground and threaten to kill every man, woman and child if the angel did not show his face."

"Well, did he?" the girl asked, completely absorbed by the story.

"No he didn't. Blood was spilled in front of the gates yet it was met with no answer. Screams were heard all across the land, people cursing the angel and blaming him for all this, just before their last breath. By the end of the day, the buildings were set a blaze and there was not an innocent, living soul to tell the tale.

Filled with anger and feeling mocked, Tyros tried crushing the church's gates but with no success. The gold taint fell easily to the ground yet the stone walls themselves barely had a scratch. The more he tried, the more angry he got. No matter what he threw at it and no matter how he charged the gates and walls, nothing happened. After several days of trying, an idea struck him.

He left his army at the church and stormed alone through the city with a burning desire. He went to the graveyard."

" To Aealind's grave?"

"Indeed, and once arrived with a grin on his face he started laughing and shouting. He mocked the angel and swore that if he would not reveal himself, that he'll dig up his wife's grave. To add insult to the injury he even said he'd use the angel's broken sword piece as a shovel."

The young girl took a step backwards... " He wouldn't! What happened next?" she asked with thirst an anger, slowly started to shake herself.

"Nothing" he responded with a grave and dead voice. "Nothing happened. The church remained silent and it was clearer and clearer to everyone that the angel had left. It had abandoned the city it once swore to protect and let all living things die."

"So what did Tyros do?"

"He was enraged beyond belief. He was sure that this new plan would surely make the angel come, and his anger grew along with his conviction that the point he came to make, that he'd be even stronger than an angel, could not be fulfilled. Thus, he picked the shattered piece of the sword and dug up the grave."

"Nooo..." said the girl crying. "NOOOO...How could he?!"

"And once he was done, his anger grew even more." he continued.

With tears in her eyes, flooding her face, the girl fell to the ground and barely had the strength to ask "Why?"

"Because it was empty" he continued as grave and dead as before. "The grave was empty. No body, no remains, no nothing. It was as if no one had ever been buried there and it was just an empty grave.

As you can imagine Tyros was mad as a bull and could only see red at this point. Filled with a new kind of rage, one that he had never felt before, he jumped on his horse, the broken sword still in hand and went back to the church. The men didn't know what to do or to think of all this. Nothing made sense.

Tyros jumped from his horse and started bashing on the church's gates like a madman, same as the citizen had done some hours ago before meeting their end at his hand. He was spitting and cursing and hitting the gates with his fists almost to the point that he broke his hand, calling out the angel and screaming that he ought to obey him. And then, by accident..." and he took a short break.

"What? What happened?" said the girl, uncovering her face from her hands.

"He accidentally hit the walls with the broken sword piece and as the sound of metal meeting stone filled the air, the gates...they started opening."

"What? How? What was inside?" said the girl. She forgot about her anger she had felt before as curiosity now took the best of her.

"Tyros couldn't believe his luck as light slowly entered the room. He laughed and shouted to his men that victory was near and that God himself wants to see the false-angel receive its punishment.

And so, once the room was fully lit and the gates were wide open, the men froze to their feet. It was then that even Tyros's mouth was shut at the very sight.". Tears could be seen from the corners of his eye.

The girl stood up again, wiping away her own drops of water from her cheeks. She took his hand into hers and held it tight once again, as if to give him courage. "What did they find inside? Was it Arkanis?"

"Yes indeed. There stood the once great and mighty angel Arkanis, in the same armor that he was first seen. He stood there, kneeling in front of what seemed like an altar, with hands joined in prayer, surrounded by countless candles burning gently. He didn't move or say a word, it was as if nothing was there for him but the altar, the candles and him.

When the men recovered from their shock, they all started shouting and yelling, Tyros himself gaining courage from the crowd's noise. He shouted himself and asked for the angel to step out and face him, the mighty general of a thousand armies. Yet the same silence that he met when he stood before the gates was the same treatment he was receiving again.

As such, with adrenaline and arrogance he stepped foot into the church and his men soon followed in his footsteps." The grip tightened once more and his body started shacking again, even stronger than before.

"Father?" the girl asked, partly frightened.

"Yes?" he said, barely able to contain his pain.

"I want to know how it ends" she replied and stepped closer to him, hugging him.

"They came until only a couple of feet separated them. It was in that moment that they saw a figure resting on the altar, in front of Arkanis. At one point Tyros turned to his men and started mocking the entirety of the church, that it must have been because of it that the false-angel had lost his voice. One of soldiers even asked, mockingly as well, why use candles to light the place up when he could have used the body on the altar..."  his fists clenched, he pushed the child aside, put both hands in the air and let go of a beam of searing bright and golden light that dug heavily throughout the canyon. He stopped and was panting. He looked to the side and picked his daughter up.

"I'm sorry" he said, while brushing the dirt from her blue dress.

The girl was emotionless. She had witness his rage and pain before, but that had been long ago.

"Father...What did you do then?"

"I...I..." he mumbled, tears flowing rapidly down his face.
"I...stood up and for the first time in a long time, I opened my mouth and asked them to leave and never dare mock that which is dear to me. Yet they didn't stop, they just laughed and mocked me still, and then Tyros pointed the edge of my own sword, towards her body saying that he'll make sure he'll keep the ashes for himself once he's done burning everything to the ground...So I...I killed them."

He fell on both knees to the ground, crying and barely able to talk. " I killed all of them" he muttered while crying still. The girl came closer and put his arms around him. With one hand she caressed his head and with the other she held his face.

"Father, I'm sorry but I must ask...What really happened to mother?"

"What do you mean?"

"How did she die? Who killed her?"

The crying stopped, and so did his breathing for a second.

"She killed...she took her own life!"

"Why?"

"Because..." and he stopped for a minute.

He stood up, and looked towards the canyon again, their hands one in another. His eyes were fixated upon a single spot and they did not blink at all.

"Because I broke her heart"

Today was a crappy day

Today was a crappy day

Today was a bad day, kind of a bit more of the same as yesterday,
Yet each day holds a lesson on its own,and so at the end of May,
I think it'd only be fair and safe to say,
That fire appeared in this universe as well, and with it, Light
and Dark...

I swear that sometimes I can't tell if the reflection in the mirror is me,
At least I pose that question and seek myself out, make me open my eyes, to see,
Always remembering what I've done to get to where I am, of where I could be,
I draw a line, I find the time, and I acknowledge myself,
Or at least, I try...

There's nothing worse than lying to the mirror, putting make up on it,
Then wait and correct our smallest of mistakes, before we sit.
We're not perfect, we were never meant to be,
But that's why we have our eyes, to see and to do,
To watch and never betray,
 the real YOU!

The fear of fearing

The fear of fearing

Throughout time, mankind has sinned,
Yet there is no greater sin than to fear.

It is a burden that we place upon our shoulders,
Willingly and knowingly we accept it as ourselves.
We encompass our very existence within it
And never dare to let it go until it has consumed our very soul.

We gaze into its eyes as it stares right back at us,
Instilling more doubt, hatred and deceit.
Yet do we vanquish it with the purity of our soul?

No...

We relinquish in its arms as it engulfs us whole.

You did, I did, We do,
You're here and so am I,
So how will the story unfold?

I'm just curious, does this ever stop?

I'm just curious, does this ever stop?

Now, I'm not saying I know it all, although I used to,
I don't say that I'm the best, better than the rest,
Though I something find myself thinking so...
I...give up.

You know, maybe I'm great, but I don't know it,
What you say as being a truth, I always said it while it was a lie.
Am I ashamed of what I've done? Maybe, but that's just part of the trick, right?
Manipulating and using all that I can and all that I am....

I always enjoyed posting here, though it brought me sadness,
Though sometimes it brought me harm (or pain)...
I've always wanted one thing!!!!!!!
And it wasn't to have someone, but just for once,
God give me time.

I've always found time to be something we cannot touch,
Something we cannot control, as much as we'd like to.
I remember countless times, whether old or recent,
When I just wanted time.

I didn't need too much, may be two weeks or three,
But that time never came to be.
I hoped and prayed that I'd have time,
To do and mend, that which I have broken.

Willingly I sought to break through the open,
Hoping that one would see, that one would find,
Always, that special/renowned  interest of mine.

That time never came and instead...
An age of hate, sorrow and bliss came to avail.

I speak of the present yet think of the past,
Think of you, the one that never passed.

P.S.:

If I could ever express my sorrow,
It would be from tonight, today and all until the last,
Until there would be no more than the past,
And do that which I must have done for your, the last.

It goes without saying

Sometimes we welcome the devils in our minds,
Trapped and hungry, they linger for our purity,
When faced with them, we act as if blind,
We forget ourselves in the hunger, we act without maturity.

In it all, there's always something that is left behind,
Behind our curtains , behind the evil that lies within,
Behind it all there's always something in our mind,
That purity that lies beneath our skin.

You see, devils come and go,
But they won't ever stay.
They're afraid of the fray,
Their evil can never grow.

...

A1: " I....remember you as a distant memory of the past. What have you been up to lately?"

A2: " Here and there and everything in between.Nothing that you have never foretold."

A1: " You know... I've missed you and the angel that guarded our house."

A2: " Maybe, but I believe that angel's long since gone."

[pause]

A1: " Could we ever bring it back?"

P.S.:

It's for me to say and for you to hold,
These words that I hold dearest to my soul.
I know there's a lot of pain inside,
But if given a chance, it can prove that it can all remain...behind.

Goodbye my lover

Goodbye my lover

[It's the name of the song, but what's done, must be done.
There are no metaphors, there's no secret in my verses,
It is my own,and our farewell,
It is the hammer that strikes.]

In an ancient time,I remember of a version,
A time filled of joy and purity,a time with no diversion.
I remember all the laughs and tears alike,
And I remember it all,so just like...

There's no more hiding anymore, there's no secret to us,
We've done what we thought right, but now we've missed our bus.

We've had our smiles in the nights,
We've climbed on so many different heights,
We've had and we shared,
We've stumble and we teared.

We failed some time ago,and still gave our best,
We gave it all without caring for the rest.
We've built and now we broke,
We've did it all with each and every stroke.

I write these in thy memory,in thy sake,
May you have your peace as you sleep or lie awake,
May you find comfort in your own care,
May you see love in the eyes in which you will stare.

I thank thee, the last that saw the pure light in me,
And I wish you'll hold it dear to thee.
I hope for the time when we both smile with no remorse,
For when we remember,of the bright white horse.

It's not easy putting such things together,
And I do it now, hoping for the better,
For it's plain to me,like the sunny weather,
That what was once in heaven is now nether.

Pay your own tributes to the past,
Pay them if you must,
Let life invade our blood,
Turn it into good or mud.

Inspiration:
James Blunt-Goodbye my lover

+

You (and all we were once)

P.S.:
We've learned a lot from what was nothing,
We made it all,we turned it into something,
But now,I'd just love to leave all pain behind,
And see the joys of life, come back,in time.

I remember everything as if yesterday,
I remember it all as if it had happened today,
But I won't let the memories of our loving past,
Be the judge of what was last.

The present

The present

They say that even demons should repent,
That they should listen to their souls,
And carry out that which they did not whilest alive.

Hmph...

I'd laugh in those people's face.

You see, there's a monster within us each,
Since we all share the same fortune.
We...feel.

You know as well as I do,
You've felt joy,you've felt hate,
You've felt the same feeling that took you to the brink of destruction,

And yet we all managed,
We healed,we let the door open, and thus,
This is how we function.

In our love and in our minds,
'Tis where the wind intertwines.
Not merely a simple breeze, but a hurricane followed by thunder,
It devours everything, searching,as if a hunter.

I don't believe in perfect beginnings as well as I don't believe in endings.
The end is how we make it.
WE are our own judges.
The past is blurred,the future...uncertain.

We are merely humans, living for the present,
Shattered from the past,
Bewildered by the future.

And yet...I refuse to obey a rule,
To obey the masses and all the social classes.

I live not because of what others think,
But because I survived and will continue to survive.

I love not because others approve,
But because my heart skips a beat when I see a certain face.

I care not because others ask for pitty,
But because I remember my own pain, and feel it still.

There's no tommorow, there's no next week, month or even year.
There is but now and what we do with our own time.

Influence:
Florence + The machine- Over the love

P.S.:

I've seen that which hurts the most,
Yet my judgement is as it stood before its host.
I could see it in your eyes,
Yet even the strongest it seems, can slowly die.

The choice parable

The choice parable

There's a meaning in all,
A meaning that even the blind can see,
Like the lone elephant crashing in the glass hall,
It's what life's about,it's the " that's how it's got to be".

Yet the choice is always upon us,
And what a burden it can be.
The narrator will always make you pick between the two doors,
As if they both are the same,as if it all, were merely a game.

I know all to well what it means to choose,
To follow one door and close the other,
And while life may win at it's very own game,
I can't but feel sorry for the unfairness.

As any choice in life,it's tale must be told,
With many more choices soon to follow,
Yet know now,you will always be remembered,
As the itch that everyone has,the "what if" that humanity builds upon.

I bid my forgotten a deep farewell, filled with sadness,
As no choice can ever be forgotten,
As can any be undone!

P.S.:

The reason for which the tale could never be completed,
Was only because Erather was always meant to die,
And since all good tales should end with a happy ending,
I pray that when that moment comes, that they at least died together.

Erather's Curse Finale (Prologue)

[The entrance lay unguarded but by vegetation,
Burnt, for the dragon was known to spare none and nothing.
A path of complete isolation awaited the last mage,
The end was anything but near...

I watched him of course, for mother had wanted me to do so,
And could see all the hate and fury that had been building inside of him.

As I followed him, undetected,as a shadow follows its master,
I could hear faint whispers from within the dark...
Yet no,he conjured a sphere of fire,
And the darkness was no more.

It was then that I had realized,
That the faint whispers were not from deep within,
Rather,he was talking,mustering himself.

...]

Erather:

Endless night,
Come forth and greet the light.

...

You robbed me of everything,
Stole the last bird that could sing,
Drowned me and then poured some more,
Until at last, you filled my heart with sore.

[Ohh dear, his eyes shine again with golden light]

Miserable and pathetic creature,I know you do not understand,
But it is this night, the moment for your kind to end.

[Oddly enough,the ground started shacking.

I was surprised obviously, since I had no recollection that father had such power.

Ohh dear, father is trying to find his balance,
Grasping and trying to hold tight to the cave's walls.

If it is not him the one causing this, then who...]

Argtesf:

Is that so?

...

Now do tell me human,
How is it that you plan to kill that which is immortal?

[THE DRAGON...

Apparently the legends and rumors were true,
The mighty dragon was still drawing breath,
And it had lived here all along,
Deep within the Misty Mountains.

After hearing its voice, the mage came back to his sense.
He no longer stood shacking, trying to maintain balance.

Instead...
Father was smiling.]

Erather:

You see,you rotting,miserable, old worm.
If I no longer have reason to live,
Then I no longer care for my life,
And by not caring,
I refute the very idea of limits,
And because of THAT...

You will feel my pain, even if it kills us both.

[It was then that I witnessed why mother spoke so great of him.

I withdrew a couple of feet back, almost knowingly,
Although I was anything but prepared for what awaited.

He took a deep breath, eyes shinning even brighter than ever before,
And as the air exited his lungs and flowed amidst the cave's stench,
He quickly fell onto one knee, his fist tight, slamming the ground.

...
The air grew hot,
The ground blew up,
All the walls that had surrounded us,
Vanished behind the veil of scorching flames,
As if hell itself had brought them there.

All that lay remaining,
Were father and a dragon.]

Argtesf:

Impressive,yet insufficient,
Although I must congratulate you for,
Shall we say finding your way through.
I was worried I might fall asleep until you got to me.

[Levitating and breathing heavily,
Both fists closed,shacking with rage,
The last mage seemed to have already decided...]

Erather:

Insufficient you say?
By the gods I haven't even begun yet.

Wait until I'll rip through your scales,
And on your skin,I shall leaving soaring blood trails.

Wait until you gauge my wrath,
For I will so much fill this mountain with fire,
That you'd believe it had always been this way.

Argtesf:

And what if you fail?

Erather:

THEN I WILL MAKE SURE THAT MY FAILURE MARKS THE END OF YOUR TIME.

Still,you refused to see it.
You blind yourself with arrogange.

Argtesf:

See what,mortal?

Erather:

YOU,WILL,DIE!
And so...will I.

[And with a smile on his face,
He charged towards the mighty dragon]

Squeezed out

Only a short intro today that's actually from a previous post.

[And God said "No more!"]

Squeezed out

[I'm flattered and honored yet hated,
All the more alike with each passing second.]

And so I've heard that my message was not clear at first.
If that be the case, let my lungs howl these words with thirst,
Let this tragedy be banished to other dimensions and beyond,
For thou shalt revel in the meanings that I spawn:

"As birds would have once whispered in your ear,
Such calm preceded by the weather,
All of them lay joyful together,
All for a moment that lasted a year.

Yet now,as spite and anguish have left the rooms,
Rooms that were so recently filled by your traitorous heart,
So too shall closure cleave throughout,
All the way through memory lane.

There's no more hope, there's no place warm,
You've sucked it all,be sure of that,
You've caused grief and so much harm,
I pity your judgement or for where it sat.

You've reveled starring as the blood was pressed out,
And that alone is a price too heavy to pay for a heart.

Judge not others when one's own judgement proves wrong,
Let bygones be bygones and walk the very path one chose."

.......

Metira:

Hope?

Erather:

No more!

Inspiration:
Chase&Status-Time (Queensway remix)

P.S.:
Just so true kindness and wisdom can be understood,
It was even in the next day that one, after calming down,
Felt not hate or vengeance, but pity and mercy for those that had wronged her,
And although excuses are not needed, she hopes for better, for all of us.

The question never grows old

The post:

So it's somewhere around 5:30 AM and I'm writing (sad but true) and I'm writting on the blog.
Now listen here,I don't know if you're watching or not but the level of disappointment has reached above average.

I would never bother for something like you, especially after what you said on the phone so if you're seeing this, just stop checking this blog,it's pointless.
As I no longer mean anything to you,so do you to me. Capich ?!Lovely.glad that's settled!\

Now on to the normal post...Funny,amusing,sincere and at the same time alike, you seem to prove the ONE,yet how can fear not enter a traitorous heart?

When I've seen so much wrong done even when I was right, and even more when I was wrong?
I believed in such a person at some point yet just gave up and moved when realizing that I was the only one living in the same DREAM.

I do not wish to do same again,I have been hurt one so many times, and yet here I am doing what I always do,babbling about the same thing I always do!

I'm sincerely tired after all I've put up with it and I just need to rest and have calm and security...Are you able to provide just that?

I don't care about what's fair or not,
If a tooth for a tooth and what not,
But I'm sick and tired of this,
And there's this growing want that I feel, sounding like Dis!

When all else fails

I had started another post, but I'll leave it for another time (and quite frankly I don't know if it's even "valuable" anymore...we'll see).

When all else fails

Arkanis:

It's fair to say that when all else fails,
When there are no more marks to lead us back on our trails,
That hope is gone,
And as cruel as a spider's sting, tragedy has won.

Yet I've been weak for far too long,
And have attached myself more than I should have.
It is because of this that I wish to be once again strong,
Even if it means to be severed and halved.

I remember faintly who I truly am,echoing with the beats of a familiar song...

I've left peace and after so much time,I feel pain.
Because of the very hands that held my stars,
Are now sentenced to wear my scars.

It was love that purchased my traitorous heart,
And for this reason...
I...AM LEGEND,
Predestined for greatness,
Built for the final hour.

I've looked for light, but found only darkness,
I've searched for bright skies but walked in gloom.

I was destined to fall, even in the brightest days,
Among the living,I was like the dead.

I looked for justice, but it never came,
I looked for rescue, but it was far from me.

This is me,genius or not,
A stranger in my own place,
A nomad searching for its tribe,
Numb and driven mad by the sun!

P.S.:
Listen closely to the pace of my heart,
Follow its footsteps and purge the other part,
Engraved with runes by the purest of all beings,
I wish to be noble once more!

A lesson about life

For today's post I've decided to talk about an interesting idea through a head to head comparison to what hard-core gaming still means in the industry nowadays.Hope this will be fun to read and not that boring to some :P

A lesson about life

Life...Life has a strange way of putting obstacles in anyone's path from time to time.As if a personal test in order for us to regain our humanity or maybe to toughen us up or even to teach us a lesson...No matter the reason, obstacles appear in different shapes and forms. Some are easy to overcome whilst most are seemingly impossible at first. This reminds me of a game called Dark Souls. This game puts you through next to impossible situations from time to time, where the odds are never in your favor and forces the player, you,to overcome them.

What's more interesting is that the game let's you know this from the beginning as can be seen from the picture below (it's from the Debut Trailer):

And so,what can we learn from all of this, one might wonder?
The answer alone is pretty simple.

WE FIGHT!

We struggle,we endure,we wipe our faces from the mud from which we just fell,we take a deep breath, and we fight.

In same way we want to finish the game,we fight because we want a certain thing (a raise,to prove a point,to succeed in something). And even though the situation starts out like this at first:

I urge you all to fight and not quit because believe me when I say this...In the same way that any boss from the game can be beaten, then so can anyone overcome any obstacle if so they desire.

P.S.:

Keep you faith always alive,
For as the heretic shrives,
So does any passion thrive,
Like a beautiful concert,singing live!

Trialed Part 2: Fate's final hour

Arrogance is a virtue and intelligence is a perk...too few have!

Fate's final hour

[In the same chamber where once five had stood,
Now two old friends meet again,
One humble, wearing a hood,
And the other,arch-angel Gabriel.]

Arkanis:

Dear brother,I bring news from my journey,
And pray that my words won't seem ferny.

[The High-Lord gazed upon his once beloved one,
And then spoke with the voice of the father saddened by his own son]

Gabriel:

You may spare one of your points old friend,
For Erather has been already trialed.
I found it just to banish him to find his mortal end,
To strive for survival, alone, without any friend.

Thus I am eager to hear the second thought with which you came,
Moreover,I would like to know how did you cover your shame?

Arkanis:

That which you have requested has been done,
And as once I had left,so I returned,
No more an angel as before,
But a pastor still.

I took thy words in my heart, and I managed to find,
"Passion's cruel counter-part" easily behind.
I've wrecked the two stones together,
And kept one for myself.

Gabriel:

Was my punishment just?

Arkanis:

I don't know your lordship.
I no longer have to right to decide,
Yet I pray that I have atoned for my sins,
If not now,at least in thousand years.

Gabriel:

My dearest of friends,
Never let those words leave your mouth again.

Indeed you wronged humanity selfishly,
Yet what you had to do was to do right to both yourself and them as well.
You are now entitled to return to your former place,
And rule once more, pure as the fresh of winter's snow.

[The two sat silently,
One near the other.

...

Alas,when the silence broke,
It was clear to both that another choice had been made,
And the news the purest of angels wore,
Was anything but over]

Arkanis:

I remember everything that has passed during my departure,
I remember your words as well as Erather's.
Do not judge me now as a traitor,
But your judgement was wrong and his was right?

Gabriel:

Really now?
...
How so?

Arkanis:

You see,beloved of the Father,
I am no longer as pure as snow,
And there is nothing for me to show.
I have wronged both father and daughter.

I accept the deeds that I have done,
And as hate once spilled throughout my body,
I cannot see victory,I cannot see how I have won.
I am nothing but a writing that is almost entirely bawdy.

Gabriel:

You cannot believe such things Arkanis.

Arkanis:

Hah...Arkanis...
It's been a while since anyone has ever called me so.
I've been known more like a pastor the past couple of days,
Searching and thinking of different methods and ways,
In which I could save myself,or at least grant others, their dying wish.

I pray you'll one day understand my choice,
And for all this, never should you gaze upon me the same,
As I am no longer the one you just called by it's name,
But a being stripped of heart and angelic voice.

[Slowly,the hooded angel turned around,
And right before his knees could hit the ground,
Gabriel panicked immediately and shouted]

Gabriel:

My son...

What in heaven's name are you doing?

[Arkanis turned his head around,
Revealed his head from under the hood,
And a look appeared that asked for forgiveness.

His eyes then shut,
His head no longer towards Gabriel,
Facing the ground,
He let his feet pound.]

Arkanis:

"Righteous and pure as snow and water alike,
I am Arkanis, the angel of love who shall be seen as a tike,
As I refuse the entitlement given to us by God,
And give back my wings as I am flawed.

[The Highest of All rushed towards the other]

Gabriel:

Brother,no!

[The boy continued as if he were deaf to the words shouted in the massive hall]

Arkanis:

From this day onward shall I live a mortal life!
Never shall I look back, unless with strife!
Let it be known in heaven and earth alike,
That I am no longer but a human dike.

[Before Gabriel could spit another word,
Arkanis's wings fell, crushing to the floor.

As the High-One grasped the boy's angelic clothes,
They instantly froze and splattered,
And in only an instant,
Thus the boy had vanished!]

Gabriel:

What have you done,young one?

...

And God said "No more!"

P.S.:

As angels wage their wars through the tides of battle,
So can mortal fight alike, even more maybe for their beliefs.
As loyalty has fled and abandoned at the end of day,
Hope lies buried deep, waiting to cleanse any wild land.

Trialed Part 1: Judgement Day

I've re-read something recently and it was quite a tale and learning experience. It's funny how mythology still has a way to teach even after so many years.

Thus,I leave you all with some wise words, as Ariadne told Theseus before he entered the Minotaur's labyrinth: "Always forward...never left or right."

Trialed

[ In the massive white hall,
As it was custom for any angel being trialed,
Chained by hands and wings at the end of the south wall,
There stood the accused angel, silent and still.

At the opposite three angels hovered in front,
Guarding the high Arch-angel Gabriel, the judge.
The last had a scroll he was reading, written in angel font,
And as he read, the accused's heart was filled with grudge]

Gabriel:

Righteous angel that guards the Earth,
Do you know why you are here and what accusations I bring forth?

Arkanis:

Yes fellow son of the Lord,
I am well aware of the usage of my sword.

Gabriel:

Very well then and listen close brothers,
What can you then tell me of the deed committed to the two daughters?

[ The accused's face grew weary and pale,
For all he felt was sadness, and it was stale.]

Arkanis:

I believe I am guilty of another charge your lordship,
For I have beseech two and let neither follow.
Thus I admit to being guilty of bringing joy and then committed sorrow,
I believed myself a pastor and treated others as if sheep.

[The high arch-angel nodded with a sigh]

Gabriel:

It sadness me brother to find that you were aware,
And to bring just judgement I ask you, what would you find fair?

[As the words left the high-one's lips,
Arkanis gathered up what seemed like a sad smile]

Arkanis:

Dear brothers,
Although it may seem like blasphemy what you are about to hear,
Know that I have tread likely upon these following words,
And if I could be granted a final wish,
I'd ask nothing more and nothing less,
Then to be stripped of my immortal bounds,
And further ask that I'd be forgiven right before my execution.

[A silent murmur traveled the white room upon the angels.
After a few moments of silence the high one spoke his thougts]

Gabriel:

No Arkanis,I deny you the integrity of your wish.
The deeds you have committed are too evil so that we'd honor you with death.
Yet still, you shall be stripped of all that has been given upon thee be the Lord,
And will be brought to proper justice.

[Arkanis's heart stopped for a moment]

Arkanis:

An...An....And what might that be your lordship?
What more could I do to prove my regret?

Gabriel:

By the wisdom gained throughout aeons of trial and judgement,
I hereby oblige you to return as the pastor that you once believed to be,
And with those sheep that you have spoken of,
You are to choose from the two,and lead a mortal life.

[The room fell silent,
The three angels keeping guard, slowly floating in the air,
Turned quickly to Gabriel and stood in a stupefied stare.
Then,one of them spoke.]

Erather:

High Arch-angel Gabriel,purest of saints,
What is it that you speak of?
Why would you offer such petty as punishment,
Where is the justice in all this.

[Right before the purest of all could respond,
It was the accused that first understood the words that were about to come]

Gabriel:

Fear not Erather, for Arkanis is second in purity here in heaven.
Tread wisely and understand what this means for him.

[Gabriel then turned his head from Erather and gazed upon Arkanis,
As the last let tears come from his eyes flow and be absorbed by the floor]

Gabriel:

You must understand that there is no better punishment for our brother here,
Than to make him choose and see the other side of his decission haunt him for eternity.
He alone has brought this upon himself,
And it is he alone that will have to live in a haunting descent.

By judging him I have sent him to eternal torment,
And thus we shall give an example of our own upon humanity itself.
They shall thus learn of what it means to stray from one's road,
Instead of going forward...never left nor right.

Even more dreams

As promised, the evening's surprise arives with bitte steps.Hope you enjoy:

Even more dreams

I find myself amused of all the surprises offered by life,
Such that in a world covered by ignorance and strife,
There's still some left with their eyes keen and thoughts straight,
Such a pity that they can't sleep,as they lay awake and wait.

I find myself confused when faced with an equal,
As,even though,there's bound to be a sequel,
Could one be dreaming while being awake,
And if so,would this not be fatal as the poison of a snake?

I find myself dreaming, and all so many visions lay in front,
A vision of a lion sitting, still not sure if it must go to hunt.
Ahhh, majestic creature that guards my kingdom, can you hear,
It was those pigeons again, singing for you dear.

In the end,I find myself wanting with a fever for more,
It's an ever bloody battle,but heck,such a beautiful score.
It'd be wise to just pass away,at least until judgement day,
So that when you wake, you'd be there to stay.

Inspiration:
Nalepa-Monday (The Glitch Mob Remix)

P.S.:
Move and you shall be moved,
Go on,continue to stare, cause that'll make me be there,
I stand my ground in lack of uncontested proof,
But when contested,I'd accept anything but a spoof.

Dreaming of dreams

["It's funny isn't it?"

...

"What?"
"Is there nothing that you would love to say?"

...

"No."
"Well then that's just amusing..."]

***

Dreaming of dreams

It takes but a moment to meet someone,
Yet a lifespan would never be enough to convey,
As shapes change and disipate, leaving no one
But the eager to sit patiently and survey.

I've had so many dreams so far in and through time,
Dreams as sweet as candy and as wrotten as wet wood,
Yet I'd like to share a dream in a dream of mine,
Where all could fly while I just stood.

It was all covered in white on top of the Snowy Mountain,
Above the waters of a lifeless fountain,
Near which golden pigeons picked on the ground,
And all I could do was smile and cry at what they had found.

Now the lesson of the writting here,
Is that no one is ever far or ever near,
They're just caught in their own dream, probably dreaming still
Waiting for their inner flame to burn through their chosen steel.

Inspiration:
Calvin Harris ft Florence-Sweet nothing

P.S.
Patience is a virtue indeed,
Yet when one lingers for too long,
Even time will start singing that sad song,
With lyrics telling of the dream one did not heed.
